The EU-funded Twinning project "Further Support to the Implementation of the National Qualifications Framework" (MK IPA 17 SO 01 21) announces its official closing ceremony scheduled to take place at the Marriott Hotel, Ballroom 1, in Skopje on December 13, 2023.
Initiated in October 2021, the project has been a collaborative effort over the past 27 months, culminating in substantial achievements. With a total budget of €1,500,000.00, this endeavor has been led by a consortium of three EU member states: Lithuania, France, and Slovenia. The Lithuanian Ministry of Education, Science and Sport took the helm as the leading partner, collaborating with key entities such as the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC), the Qualifications and Vocational Education and Training Development Centre (KPMPC), and the European Social Fund Agency (ESFA). France and Slovenia, acting as junior project partners, contributed through the High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education and the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Vocational Education and Training.
The overall objective of the Project was further strengthening and operationalization of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) aiming to increase the employability, mobility and social integration of workers and learners. The project supported the effectiveness of NQF and especially focused on:
- development and implementation of quality assurance (QA) process/procedures;
- transparency and governance of skills and qualifications in a lifelong learning perspective of general, vocational education and training (VET) and higher education;
- improving the quality and better adaptability of education and training in line with the requirements from labour market needs;
- linking formal, non-formal and informal learning; and
- supporting the validation of learning outcomes acquired in different settings.
The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of North Macedonia stands as the direct beneficiary of this project.
The closing event serves as an occasion dedicated to summarizing the project`s achievements. The conference will welcome esteemed guests, including dignitaries from various embassies, representatives from the EU delegation, and members of the media. All main stakeholders, including the project consortium and relevant beneficiary institutions, will gather to reflect on the significant milestones attained during the project’s implementation phase.
